WASHINGTON (May 12, 2022) —Ward 4 Councilmember Janeese Lewis George announced today her endorsement of Zachary Parker for Ward 5 DC Councilmember.
"I know that Zachary Parker is going to be ready on day one to serve the residents of Ward 5," said Lewis George, Ward 4 Councilmember.
"We've been able to work together to make sure all of our schools had librarians, making sure we had the Safe Routes to Schools Act to make sure our streets are safe for everyone; making sure that we collaborate on public safety, traffic safety, and making sure our seniors can age in place."
Ward 5 residents will vote to select their Democratic nominee for the Ward 5 Councilmember post in the upcoming primary election on June 21, 2022.
"I'm honored to receive Councilmember Lewis George's endorsement. We've worked together to improve traffic safety and improve student learning by guaranteeing each school a librarian. I hope to serve with Councilmember Lewis George on the DC Council to build a more just DC and make it possible for more working families to stay and thrive here," said Zachary Parker, candidate for Ward 5 DC Council.
